Japan Fanzines

Before the internet, one way in which fans got together to share articles and pictures was through fanzines.

J:MUSA (USA 1983 - 1986)

Monthly fanzine produced in the USA that collected together press clippings from the UK and Japan, alongside fan art and humorous fan fiction articles such as "The Nomis Tales" and one with Japan as characters in Star Trek. Articles of note include Arlene Weberg's "History Of Japan" which was extremely well written. In 1986, David James took over the fanzine and it was renamed "Talking Drum".
